Recently I just accepted a new role: as a nanny to my brother’s firstborn. Times flies. I have been looking after him for about a month now. It is quite interesting. I never imagined that I will be looking after another person’s child. My beloved hubby and I did talk about the issue of babysitting and we agreed that it is too much responsibility and accountability. But somehow when my sister-in-law went back to work, the babysitting task conveniently fell on me and my mom. My beloved is as kind, sweet and supportive as always. He gave me the green light to take up this additional responsibility.
By God’s grace, Thaddeus is a relatively easy baby with fixed nap, playing and feeding schedule. My two boys also take to their cousin since his birth. They are very protective of him and will help me to look after him. Sometimes, I really feel like I have three children instead of two. The most hilarious moment is the stares I get from strangers especially when I bring the three of them out. Come on, it is just three children. What is the big fuss? Now I can imagine the kind of look Serene (check out her blog at http://mamalim.wordpress.com/) received when she goes out with her then 6 children, now 7 children.
Anyway, I will probably look after him until he is old enough to go to childcare. My firstborn is already protesting because he feels that his ‘didi’ should also be homeschooled like him. Hahahaha…. That is not my jurisdiction. That is for his parents to decide.
Till the next entry.
Have a blessed weekend.
God bless,
amy
